THE AESTHETIC UNIVERSE
My ceramic universe emerges where everything trembles with movement, and the boundary between human and nature becomes porous. I am drawn to the encounter between the inner and the outer, the shaped and the wild, the sensual and the existential.
Clay is my material and my co-creator. It is alive, responsive, and resistant. It remembers the hands that have touched it and carries traces of time, change, and impermanence. I work with it as a conversation – where control and surrender constantly shift.
Nature is a quiet force in my work. Not as a backdrop, but as a present voice that influences both process and expression. I invite it into the material and the thought – as rhythm, as texture, as imprint. It reminds me that we are part of something greater, something we do not fully understand, but long to be connected with.
My aesthetic is therefore not only visual but sensuous. It is about presence and awareness, about what we feel before we think. The ceramics become a way of being in the world – to search, to question, to sense.
All pieces are one of a kind and appear in the clay's own natural colors, which arise through the firing process.
